In March, there was a buzz of excitement at TCG with all the activity surrounding metal festivals and our exploration of new directions.
Knotfest
One of the highlights of being a support worker is helping people participate in the things that matter to them. This month we got to have amazing fun doing it, when supporting our new participant Adele to Knotfest. Knotfest is a heavy metal and rock festival, founded by the heavy metal band Slipknot. While the main feature is the music, there are lots of things to do and like-minded people to meet. The festival has an exciting intense energy, as you can see by some of our amazing pics!
Whether you have an interest in music festivals, art galleries, or picnicking in the park, TCG is passionate about supporting your goals. If this looks like something you’d be interested in, we are here to assist.
Strategy for The Companion Group
This month our directors have been very busy reassessing TCG’s short and long-term goals, including how and where we want to expand the business to best suit our participants and our employees. During every strategy meeting we want to keep our mission at the forefront of every decision we make.

We have found the following focus areas:
Prioritise communication, ensuring we are continuing to hear and respond to our participants in a timely manner.
Experience packages – Making sure we highlight what TCG has to offer, including our options for festivals, overnight stays, overseas holidays, and community access activities.
Worker profiles – Finding the right match with a Support Worker is key to a great service. With worker profiles participants will have more information to find the right match.
Quality – We will continue to run our business with a “small business” attitude. Every participant is important to us, and we will remain committed to continuing our supports at the highest quality.
Our 5-year plan included many breakdowns on how we will hit these targets and continue to provide the supports you want and need. For now, we are very excited about what the future will hold for our beloved support company.
